Reflection of Me

This last Fall I was at a crossroads and to find my way forward I needed to take a very personal evaluation of my strengths and weaknesses/faults. I discovered that I am not quite the person that I want to be and I truly

want to see a different reflection of me,in the mirror.

A Personal evaluation refers to the process of assessing oneself, one's actions, behaviors, skills, strengths, weaknesses, and overall performance. It involves reflecting on one's thoughts, emotions, and behaviors to gain a better understanding of oneself and one's progress towards personal goals.

Personal evaluation can be a valuable tool for personal growth and development. By critically analyzing one's own actions and behaviors, one can identify areas for improvement, set new goals, and make necessary changes. It allows individuals to take ownership of their actions and take responsibility for their personal development.

Personal evaluation should be done with honesty, self-compassion, and a growth mindset. It's important to acknowledge both strengths and weaknesses, celebrate accomplishments, and learn from mistakes or areas where improvement is needed. It can be helpful to seek feedback from trusted friends, mentors, or professionals to gain different perspectives and insights.  This process is not something done in one sitting, it takes days, weeks to reflect and re-evaluate.  To discuss and learn from  friends what they think your strengths are and how you could have handled past situations differently.

Sounds easy enough, but it is not.  A true complete evaluation strips you bare, and it is vitally important you are honest but not overly hard on yourself. Discuss your self revelations with a friend or loved one.  I shared with my husband, it opened a whole new dialogue for us and I believe has strengthened our relationship.  This process allowed me to see my past experiences with new eyes, and work on changing my reaction in similar situations. It also, inspired me to start pushing myself to get out of the rut I had been plodding along in. Thus leading me here, blogging my journey .☺️

Who do you see in your reflection?

Are there aspects of your life? character? profession, you would like to make better? Follow along, maybe we can help each other to change for the better.
