Life, typos, and quieting the doubters

10/15/22
Well, I am a few months in and….still trying to figure it out. Life, as it often does, has gotten a little in the way of my plans/timelines.

I got a website just to realize I had a typo in my URL, I had to get some help to get that fixed. Note to you have someone else read over your entry as I had looked at it several times but did not see the one tiny missing letter!!! I got it fixed (thank you, Mission Mountain Media and Wix customer support). Check out the new website; it may need a few tweaks, but I love it!! Thanks again, Mission Mountain Media.
I have posted my first Junkin’ for Joy adventure blog post and my first Instagram post using the Splice app to edit my pictures into a slide show with music. I hope you have seen it or have a moment to watch it and read the corresponding blog post. I still have not jumped into the deep end and done a short video, but it is in the works…maybe.
Lesson learned: One of the lessons I have learned thus far is to focus on a small win at a time. There are many postings out there with many opinions on what you should blog about and what social media you need to be on to get started; I have learned over the last few weeks that you can get lost in it all and not accomplish anything. For my next small win, I will first focus on learning the ins and outs of Pinterest; why? Because I like Pinterest and am comfortable with the application.
Want to set up a Business Account on Pinterest?
Step One: if you have a Pinterest account, it is easy to add to it by going to settings and adding a business account. It is super easy to switch between the two. I am trying to set up my business one to be centered around what I want to share with you and keep my personal one separate so you do not have to see all my unorganized pins and grandkid stuff.
My next steps: work on Pin content and learn how to create an Ideal Pin...I will let you know how it goes.

Feeling, somewhat accomplished, but I still hear the doubters in my head. Working on smothering them because at the heart of this, I am just sharing my journey, and if I can make a little on the side as an affiliate, yeah me!! I can buy more junk to repurpose and share the process with you, but I have no aspirations of becoming a millionaire and do not want to work that hard at this point in my life. I want just enough to maybe pay some bills and help support my junkin’ habit.
