Transformation:
Have your ever woke up and wonder who the heck is that frumpy old lady staring back at you in the mirror. Well I have, and though I am 55 this year I am not old, but I do wonder what happened to the younger version of me, soo creative, soo ready to set the world on fire...... duh--She had kids, got a job, worked hard to get a Master's degree, to move up in the administrative/corporate world and lived the 9-5 dream that literally suck the joy out of my life. Well today I am I am turning the page and starting a new chapter. I am embarking on a journey to transform frumpy, dumpy, bored me into a more cool, fun, repurposed me ...or at least a me I enjoy being.
New Chapter:
So as I start this new chapter I have done a lot of thinking researching and pondering. I need a challenge something I have never done before, something that will hold me accountable to the life change I so desperately want. My research says do something that brings you joy and share it with others….. After lots of brainstorming and more research I think I know what I want to do.
The Plan:
I am craftly, I have dabbled in junkin’ and repurposing/redesigning vintage furniture/fixtures, do-it-yourself (diy) home improvement, gardening and random fixer upper stuff. So instead of dabbling I am going to purposefully commit to doing these things I love, and turn my sort of side hustle into something I can use to retire sooner than later.
Getting Started:
My first task was to learn how to set up this website and blog to share my crafty junkin’ journey. Hoping you will follow along as I show how I turned a shed into a tiny weekend get away, setup/organize my workshop and craft room, so I can make/do all the wonderful things I see on Pintrest, and the thing I am most excited about... taking you along with me to the various antique/vintage markets I go to then sharing how I repurpose/reimage the things we find.
Please note, I am no expert. I am a learning as I go, and will share with you all the mistakes and successes so we can learn and celebrate together. I welcome kind, constructive feedback.
